Injection molding of graphite bipolar plates

As a service and within the framework of research cooperations, ZBT produces complex graphitic bipolar plate designs for NT-PEM and HT-PEM fuel cells using injection molding. Several fully hydraulic injection molding machines (including Kraus Maffei KM500 with special equipment for highest injection performance (max. 3,500 bar, 450 °C)) are available.

ZBT has extensive experience in the development of injection molds for bipolar plates and different temperature control concepts for achieving short cycle times and high component quality.
