   Während der Woche des Wasserstoffs die Energielösungen der Zukunft hautnah erleben: Am 19. Juni 2024 öffnen das ZBT und das benachbarte NanoEnergieTechnikZentrum ihre Türen für spannende Einblicke in Forschung und Entwicklung. Bei geführten Touren zeigen wir unsere Labore und das Wasserstoff-Testfeld.
   Mit Mehrwegeventilen ließe sich die Anzahl der Ventile im Kathodenpfad von Brennstoffzellensystemen reduzieren, mit Vorteilen vor allem für mobile Anwendungen. Ein solches Ventil wollen ZBT und Rheinmetall-Pierburg entwickeln, um den Material- und Ressourceneinsatz und die Kosten in der Brennstoffzellenproduktion zu senken. Das ZBT fokussiert sich dabei auf Simulation, Materialuntersuchungen und Funktions- und Dauertests.
   Current political decisions on hydrogen were discussed during a visit to ZBT by Susanne Menge, Member of the German Bundestag, and Dr Sebastian Ritter, Mayor of Duisburg. The focus was on the economic viability of alternative drive systems and the future of green hydrogen.
   On DiversityDay at the ZBT, we examined the various dimensions of diversity and discussed them together. Our aim is to strengthen diversity and create an environment in which everyone can feel comfortable and flourish.
   It's always nice to have visitors! We recently welcomed an Indian business and science delegation to the ZBT. The exchange focused on the upscaling of electrolysis, hydrogen applications and fuel cell technology. A visit to our hydrogen test field was of course also part of the program.
   Five pupils gained practical experience in our laboratories on career orientation day. They worked with fuel cells, microscopes and in wet chemistry. Thanks to the participating schools for their cooperation!
